Emily is a screenwriter based in Chicago.
Her writings range from feature-length films to one-long pilots. All speaking to the individuality and creativity of womankind. She strongly relates to the honesty and emotions of the Midwest. It breathes into her writing.
She has published comparative pieces on films and society in the web-based magazine, The Artifice.
Lavender, Emily's short film is making its way through the festival circuit. She is currently revising her thesis and outlining new ideas.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College Chicago in Cinema Arts + Sciences and her Master's Degree from DePaul University's Screenwriting MFA Program.
When not writing, you can find her adding books to an overflowing bookshelf, engaging in social commentary over gin, and raising Otis.
